Networking

Networking is still one of the most powerful marketing methods. Encourage all of your staff to network for the channel everywhere they go. Networking can be made simple, or follow traditional methods. Here are some of them:

• Have shirts made for the staff to wear in public. This promotes the station without effort every time the shirt is worn in public.
  
• Give staff members business cards that include the web site and phone number. A request to be added to the mailing list can even be printed on the back.
  
• Encourage staff members to pursue public speaking opportunities where they can mention the channel.
  
• Speak at local schools and make presentations to principals and teachers.
  
• Make presentations at local social clubs like Rotary, Kiwanis, Optimist, etc.
  
• Meet with local non-profit organizations to view their facilities, concepts and services.
